Blake k Brooks

Blake Kinly Brooks,93, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in Anderson, South Carolina. Born in Cateechee, Pickens County he is the son of the late Arthur C. Brooks and Lillie Elizabeth Brooks and the husband of Carolyn Atkinson Brooks.
Blake proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II,  was a member of the American Legion Post #3 and the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Atkinson Brooks, two children; Steven (Butch) Brooks, (Toni Maddox), of Greenville, South Carolina, Danny Griffin (Tobie) of Easley South Carolina. Blake also leaves five grandchildren; Sharmin McWhorter, Sally Griffin, Jacob Griffin, Zackary Griffin, Michelle Young, and a great-grandchild Carrie McWhorter to share in his memory. In addition to his parents Blake is predeceased by a daughter; Kathy Brooks, four brothers, and seven sisters.
A graveside service will be held at Robinson Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2 pm.
