Robert Lee (Bob) Driskell, 69, of 149 Heath Circle, died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at his home.

He was born in Greenville, SC, a son of Carrie Griffith Driskell of Oakwood, Georgia and the late Ernest B. Driskell. Bob was a member of Georges Creek Baptist Church and the Abundant Life Sunday School Class of which he was a Past President. He was a graduate of Parker High School and retired from 3M Corporation after twenty five years of service. He was employed by American Security after his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. Mr. Driskell was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Berlin Crisis.

Bob is survived by his wife of forty nine years, Mary Sue Heath Driskell of the home; three daughters,Tina Howard and fiance Dean Spencer, Susan Jackson and husband Steve and Pam Belkevitz and husband David, all of Easley; three brothers, Tommy Driskell of Oakwood, Georgia, Eddie Driskell of Alpharetta, Georgia and Tony Driskell of Chestnut Mountain, Georgia; four grandchildren, Sarah Howard Schrimpf and husband Andrew, Sam Jackson, Sawyer Jackson and Mary Catherine Driskell.

In addition to his father, Mr. Driskell was predeceased by a daughter, Angie Driskell Murdaugh.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Georges Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the service.

The family is at the home.
