Charles R. Wike, Sr.

Charles Robert "Bob" Wike, Sr., 75, of Easley, husband of Joan Cooper Wike, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 21, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Wike was a son of the late Clarence and Lozie Wike and was a 1956 graduate of Welcome High School and attended Vanderbilt University. He worked in the motorcycle industry for many years, having owned a distributing company and four dealerships. For the past twenty seven years, he was a sales representative for Tucker Rocky/Bikers Choice where he made many life-long friends. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf.
In 1980, Bob was a grateful recipient of a kidney transplant from MUSC-Charleston. He received excellent care from Carolina Nephrology (Dr. Roguff and staff) and the kidney transplant team from MUSC.
Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty six years, are his children, Chuck Wike, of Surfside Beach, Chad Wike (Tracy), of Greenville, Casey Wike (Brittney) and Scott Arnold, both of Easley, Christi Capps, of Simpsonville; a son-in-law, Eddie Capps; a brother, Donald Wike (Janet), of Easley; grandchildren, Tara, Tatum, Charlie, Greyson, Ellis, Coleman, Mallorie, Ross, Ashton; five great-grandchildren and many wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday November 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
