Bobbie Lou Pitts Douglas, 82, formerly of Easley, SC, devoted wife of the late Luther Arthur “Art” Douglas, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, in Orlando, Florida. 

Bobbie was born in Newnan, Georgia on September 8, 1940, to the late Glover Hubert Pitts and Edith Katherine Dunbar Pitts. Bobbie decided to become a nurse and was encouraged to enter the field of anesthesiology. After attending the Medical University of South Carolina, she spent over 40 years as a nurse anesthetist positively impacting her patients and coworkers. She was an active member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Easley for many years. Recently, she was a beloved Sunday school teacher at Waypoint Church in Cumming, Georgia. Everyone who knew Bobbie walked away feeling uplifted and loved. 

Bobbie is survived by a son; Bradley Arthur Douglas (Jessica) of Naples, FL; daughter; Mary Catherine Douglas Jones of Orlando, FL; a brother; Chesley Pitts (Jeanine) of Ellabell, GA; two granddaughters; Abby Catherine Jones Dimino and Allison Brooke Jones; and two grandsons; Tristan Bradley Douglas and Holden Grant Douglas; and one great-grandson Mason William Dimino. 

She was predeceased by her two sisters; Carol Wilkerson and Raynelle Phillips. 

Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, GA, 315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
