Bobbie W. Searcy
Barbara "Bobbie" Waldrop Searcy, 89, of Easley, wife of 67 years to the late Randel F. "Pokey" Searcy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late C. Bub Waldrop and Ella Mae Jones Waldrop.
Bobbie was a 1950 graduate of Easley High School and retired after 27 years with the Pickens County School District, food service program at Forest Acres Elementary School. She was a lifelong member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church and belonged to the Joy Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her children, Karen S. Nalley (Mike), Kathy Tripp, Phil Searcy (Kelley), and Scott Searcy (April) all of Easley. Bobbie was blessed to welcome nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren into her loving arms. She is also survived by a niece, Missy Waldrop Hunter (Bob), a nephew, Christopher Wayne Waldrop, both of Easley, and a special loving longtime adopted friend and daughter, Freida W. Gantt.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Teresa Lynn Searcy; a grandson, Jeremy Scott Searcy; a brother, Charles Wayne Waldrop; and a son-in-law Jack H. Tripp.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 4:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
Flowers will be accepted.
