R. H. Shirkey, 70, husband of Patsy Selogy Shirkey, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 after an extended illness and surrounded by a loving family. A native of Beckley, WV he was the son of the late Cecil and Beulah Moss Shirkey.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons: Mike and Bryan; daughters: Regina and Lynette; brothers: Dan and Steve; sisters: Sandy and Shirley; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11a.m. in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens. The service will be conducted by Dan Shirkey. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Clemson Community Care, 105 Anderson Highway, Clemson, SC 29631.
