Bobby Frank Brown passed away on April 13, 2018, at his home. Mr. Brown was born November 23, 1933 in Greenville County and is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Gertrude "Trudy" Massey Brown. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Benny Frank Brown and Annie George Brown; brothers, Gary Brown and Houston Brown; and sisters, Janet B. Garrett and Quedolia B. Vess.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Alan Brown (Pam) and Neil Brown; sisters, Brenda Brown (Ronnie) and Cheryl Brown (Roger); seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Bob was an avid golfer and a 1952 graduate of Parker High School. Mr. Brown also served in the Honor Guard for the U.S. Army while on tour of duty in Berlin, Germany. Bob retired from Midstate Mills after thirty years of service. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Private Graveside services will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Hospice of the Upstate and special recognition to Beverly and Robert for all of their loving care shown to Bob during his extended illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
