Bobby Joe Brucke

October 26, 1942 — December 31, 2020

Bobby Joe Brucke, 78, formerly of Pendleton passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his residence.

Bobby was born in Oconee County, a son of the late William Leroy and Eva Mae Pelfrey Brucke. He was a retired employee of BASF and was a member of West Union Baptist Church. Bobby was a Mason. He was a US Army veteran and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf and bowling and loved his family.

Surviving are his daughter, Kathy Elaine Brucke of Laurens; sons, William Howard Brucke (Janice) of Liberty and Dwayne Allen Brucke (Christina) of Lexington, SC; brother, Marshall Brucke of Seneca; grandchildren, Nikki Overstreet, Zoe Lambertson, Natalie Welanetz and Jessica Poore; great grandchildren, Katie, Mya, Xavier, Landon, Aaden, Asher and Archer; and his special friend and care giver, Mary Pearson.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his wife, Dessie Earline Lyles Brucke.

Graveside services will be 2 PM, Monday, January 4, 2021 at Memory Gardens, Clemson, SC.

The body will lay in state at the funeral home from 12 noon to 1 PM for any friends to view.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, facial coverings and social distancing protocols will be observed.


The family would like to personally thank Hospice of the Upstate and their staff for the personal care and love they showed to the family, as well as Mary Pearson for the last 10 years of love and compassion given to our father and our family.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
