Bobby "Alley Bat" Busha

Coach Bobby "Alley Bat" Busha, 77, of Central, husband of Carolyn King Busha, died Thursday, December 8, 2016.
Born in Easley, SC, Alley Bat was the son of the late Rufus A. and Willie Mae Lesley Busha. He was a graduate of Daniel High School and was an Electrician with LaFrance Industries for over 30 years.
He served as the Recreation Director for the Town of Central for over 30 year and coached many sports for many more years. He was most noted for running a youth football program that was responsible for over four decades of success of the Daniel High School football program. He was the coach of many youth state football championships and had a tremendous influence over thousands of youth in the Central and Clemson community through the years including 4 former players that are currently playing in the NFL.
Surviving in addition to his wife Carolyn are daughters, Teresa Baxter and Tammy Busha; his special grandson, Corey A. Busha; special cousins, Henry Watson Jr. and Dorothy Busha Gregory; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Billy and Tommy Busha and sister, Carolyn Busha.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2:15 PM, Saturday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
Services will be 2:30 PM, Saturday at the funeral home with committal services following at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Town of Central Recreation Department, P.O. Box 549, Central, SC 29630.
