Bobby Joe "Bob" Searcy, 73, of 306 Camille Street, died Friday, June 9, 2006, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Earnest Span and Onie Smith Searcy, Mr. Searcy retired from Bell Linen Service and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. He had served with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Stephens Searcy of the home; a sister-in-law, Pat Searcy Green of Gaffney; his brother's two daughters, Jane Searcy Doherty of Myrtle Beach, and Jill Searcy Bramlett of Gaffney; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Searcy was predeceased by a son, Stephen Van Searcy and by a brother, Melvin Searcy.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Bill Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay Street, Easley, SC 29642.
The family is at the residence.
