Bobby Joe Smith, 64, of 599 Issaqueena Trail, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Oakmont West Nursing Center.
Raised in Walhalla, SC, a son of the late Sherman and Allifaire Stewart Smith, he was a retired truck driver, attended East Clemson Baptist Church and was a Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Reba Roper Brown Smith of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Michelle Smith of Seneca; two stepsons, Bennie Wayne Brown of Pendleton and Timothy Carmon Brown of Central; a sister, Helen Bradford of Taylors; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Harold Smith.
Funeral services will be 4:30 PM, Thursday in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4:30 PM, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
