Bobby James "Snag" Stancell 80, passed away at Oconee Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 1, 2015.

Born in Central he was a son of the late E. B. and Pauline McJunkin Stancell.

Mr. Stancell graduated from Central High School was a pipefitter and welder and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Snag was a coach to many boys in the Central area, and was well known for selling peanuts at Daniel Lions and Central Tiger football games. Snag was the first All-American football player from Daniel High School.

Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth Margaret Stancell of Central, a brother, Jackie Stancell and a sister, Earlene Taylor.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve and Billy Stancell.
