Bonnie G. Mainland

Bonnie Sue George Lee Mainland, 87, of Belton and formerly of Pendleton, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 in her home.
Born in Victoria County, Texas she was the third child and only girl of Harvey and Dora Griffith George. After graduation from Patti Welder High School in 1942, she was employed by the newly formed USAF at Foster Field, TX just outside town. She was twice married and widowed. Her first husband was Homer Dalton Lee and she later married Kenneth Mainland. She was a retired Administrative Assistant with Anderson County School District 4 and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC.
Surviving are sons, Gary Lee and wife, Vada of Columbia, SC, Kenneth Lee and wife, Myrna of Anderson, SC and Michael Lee and wife, Linda of Belton; step-sons, Larry Mainland and wife, Rhonda of Duluth, GA and Bernard Mainland and wife, Linda of Atlanta, GA; step-daughter Annette Wood of Atlanta, GA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was predeceased by brothers, Robert William George and Duane George.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC with burial to follow in Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 PM, Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
