Oneda Ashley "Boots" Stephens, 73, of 114 Avalon Circle, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at St Francis Hospital-Downtown in Greenville, S.C.

Mrs. Stephens was born in Barnwell County a daughter of the late Jack Ashley and Winnie Padgett Ashley Turner.

She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Barnwell and retired from Saco Lowell in Easley.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by her husband, Thomas Kent Stephens, of the home; two daughters, Pamela Hanner (Michael) of Easley and Kenna Day (Michael) of Greenville. A brother, Bobby Ashley of Walterboro; a sister Grace Laughlin of Laurel Bay, SC; three grandchildren Brandon and Stephen Hammond and Danielle Hanner; two great-grandchildren Jansen and Noble Grace Hammond.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father, Clay Turner; and brother, James Ashley.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the International Fellowship of Christian and Jews, 30 North LaSalle St., Suite 2600, Chicago, IL 60602 or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
