SMSgt. (Ret.) Boswell R. Ulmer, III
Easley
SMSgt. (Ret.) Boswell Risher Ulmer, III, 82, of Powers Drive, and husband of the late Rebecca Jane "Janie" Gibson Ulmer, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at his home.
Born in Walterboro, SC, he was the son of the late Col. Boswell Risher Ulmer, Jr. and Eunice Murdaugh Ulmer.
SMSgt. Ulmer proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving in Korea, and the United States Air Force, serving in Desert Shield and Desert Storm, retiring after 34 years of dedicated service. He also retired from Platt-Saco Lowell and was a member of Good News Fellowship in Easley.
Surviving are his children, Kathryn Ulmer Mitchell (Sam) and Kristi Ulmer Hunter (Eric) all of Easley and Boswell Scott Ulmer of Liberty; grandchildren, Chris Mitchell (Jennifer), Jennifer Carrano (Joey), Ryan Hunter, Chasity Mauldin (Brad), and Haliey Cobb; great grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Ben and Audrey Mitchell, Lucas and Alex Carrano, Carleigh Mauldin and Lane Cobb; and a sister, Julia Crawford (Bill) of Ashland City, TN.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Ulmer Worth.
The family would like to thank the caregivers, especially Patti Taylor, for the exceptional and compassionate care that was given to Mr. Ulmer.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home.
