Brenda Kay Smith, 64, of Easley, South Carolina died at her residence with her family by her side on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

 

Brenda was born in Anderson, South Carolina, the daughter of the late J.M. Cooper and the late Elizabeth Kay Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Michael Howard Smith; and a brother, Jimmy Cooper. 

 

Brenda was retired from Orian Rug Company. She was strong in her faith and was a member of Slabtown Baptist Church. She loved flowers and spending time with her family and friends. To meet her was to love her because she was such a sweet, loving, and caring lady. She always had to stay busy doing something or going somewhere. Brenda also enjoyed dining out with her friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Brenda memories will be treasured by her son, Blake Furr; a brother, Ronald Cooper; three sisters, Ann Cooper, Sandra Cooper, and Elaine Nichols (Roger Merritt); one precious grandchild, Edwin Furr. Also, many special friends who are like family will cherish Brenda’s memories for years to come.  

 

A private visitation will be held at Robinson Funeral Home – 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642. Also, a private graveside service to honor Brenda’s life will be at Robinson Memorial Garden where she will be laid to rest by her late husband. 

 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Agape Care-Clemson and their very professional staff. 

 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Brenda’s memory to Slabtown Baptist Church and/or Agape Care-Clemson.
