Brian J. Bruce, 25, of 5 Flintlock Court, died Friday, February 2, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, the son of Lynn and Shirley Emory Bruce of Greenville, Brian was a graduate of Wren High School and was previously employed in the Parks and Grounds Department with the City of Greenville. He attended Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Amy Lynn Bruce of Greenville and her fiance, David Doser; uncles and aunts, Doug and Linda Emory and Robert and Becky Emory, all of Grenville, Jim and Mary Jean Emory of Manderville, LA, Eddie and Linda Bruce of Easley and Ronnie and Rita Lollis of Williamston; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, Easley, with Rev. Dr. Keith Shorter officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family would like to express their grateful appreciation to Dr. Jeffery Giguere, Dr. Samuel Soloman and the staff of Cancer Centers of the Upstate for the exceptional care they gave to Brian.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 210 Mt. Airy Church Road, Easley, SC 29642.
The family is at the home of his parents, Lynn and Shirley Bruce, 5 Flintlock Court, Greenville, SC 29611.
