Brodie Hughes

Brodie Ray Hughes, 83, husband of Ilene Holder Hughes, of Easley, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Pauline Porter Hughes.

Mr. Hughes retired from Alice Manufacturing after almost 40 years of service. He loved spending time at his family land in Pumpkintown, gardening, farming, hunting, and simply welcoming friends and family to visit.

In addition to his loving wife of 61 years, Mr. Hughes is survived by a daughter, Priscilla Underhill; a sister, Freddie Seaborn; grandchildren, Kendall Pitts (James), Karlee Underhill (Ethan); and great-grandchildren, Amelia and Brodie Pitts.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Lois Loaiza, Francis Riggins, and Annette Smith; and brothers, Joe and Portis Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday,  November 12, 2023 at the funeral home.
