Bruce E. Gillespie, Sr.

Bruce Eugene Gillespie, Sr., 78, of Liberty, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Mr. Gillespie was born in Pickens County, SC., a son of the late Ervin Lee and Lillian Finley Gillespie. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son, Bruce E. Gillespie, Jr.; a daughter, Earline G. Muchow (Fred); a granddaughter, Melissa Muchow and a special niece, Nancy Gillespie Deal.

In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his wife, Mary Limbaugh Gillespie; a daughter, Lee Anne Gillespie; a grandson, Chad Dalton; three brothers, Roy T. Gillespie, Kenneth W. Gillespie and Lake E. Gillespie and a sister, Katherine G. Gillespie.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday at Flat Rock Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM Friday at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.

Family members will be at their respective homes.
