Leonard Franklin "Buck" Rich, 87, of Sawtooth Oak Lane, husband of Jean Nicholson Rich, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Leonard Elmer Rich and Cordelia Griffin Rich.
Mr. Rich was retired from General Heating. He was a member of Nine Forks Baptist Church, a mason with the Sam Poe Lodge #284 A.F.M. and was a honorable discharged US Navy veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Rich enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and helping anyone in need in the community of Dacusville. Following retirement, he was known as a "consultant" for the Dacusville Community.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years, are a daughter, Lynn Rich Kunkle and son-in-law, Willie Kunkle of Clemson; and grandchildren, Amanda Kunkle and her fiance', Josh Caron, and Frank Kunkle.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Nine Forks Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nine Forks Baptist Church, 3207 Earls Bridge Road Easley, SC 29640.
The family will be at the home.
