Winfred Kenneth "Buck" Sexton, 84, of Thomas Mill Road, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017.
Born in Cateechee, SC, he was a son of the late Clifton and Betty Rena Martin "Pet" Sexton.
Buck was retired, as a Plant Engineer, from the Ford Motor Company in Norfolk, VA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and later in life raised Santa Gertrudis Cattle. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and a past member of the Beekeepers Association. Buck was a decorated veteran and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are the love of his life for 64 years, Dorothy Jean Brown Sexton; a daughter, Vicki Jean Porter (David) of Easley; grandchildren, Will Clark and Casey Jo Hitt; and a brother, Buddy Sexton of Liberty.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Elrod and Eloise Willhoite; and brothers, Sam, Casey and Nig Sexton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
Pallbearers will be the descendants of Buck's brothers, Stan, Woody, Gene, Jimmy, Phil and Don Sexton.
The family will be at their respective homes.
