Bud Alton Smith, 71, of 306 Dunwoody Avenue and husband of Mozelle Cox Smith died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Palmetto Health Baptist.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Jesse James and Jessie Mae Pinion Smith. He was a retired textile employee and a member of Central Church of God.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five sons, Rick Smith, Larry Smith and Kenneth Smith of Central, Roger Smith of Anderson and Timothy Smith of Liberty; a daughter, Sharon Duncan of Easley; two brothers, Tommy Smith of Liberty and Sammy Smith of Seneca; three sisters, Joann Merck of Six Mile, Bonnie Turner of Lula, GA and Mary Roberts of Pickens; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 till 11 AM, Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
