Burley Mae Thomas Gilstrap, 84, formerly of Sitton Hill Road, died Wednesday July 11, 2007 at Countryside Village.

Born in Double Springs, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Ranzie L. and Fannie Baldy Thomas. Mrs.Gilstrap worked at Palmetto Garments for 22 years and retired from the Greenville County School District after 19 years of service.

Surviving are three sons, James Bobby Gilstrap and his wife, Judy, of Greenville, Jimmy D. Gilstrap and his wife Martha, of Easley and Tommy R. Gilstrap, of Huntsville, Alabama ; a daughter, Betty S. Eyerman, of Anderson and special friend, A.C. Wilson, of Anderson ; five grandchildren, Melissa Crowe, Barry Cagle, Steve Heatherly, Christopher Gilstrap and Monica Gilstrap ; eight great-grandchildren. Hunter West, Tristan Crowe, Cheyenne Crowe, Jama Crowe, Andrew Cagle, Lauren Cagle, Brett Heatherly and T.J. Heatherly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Guy Gilstrap and a grandson, James Clifford Gilstrap.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Mt. Airy Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
