Vinson Hamilton "Butch" Sheppard, Jr., 68, of Daphne Ct., passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at his home.
Born April 16, 1946 in Greenville, he was a son of Fannie Stockton Sheppard and the late Vinson Hamilton Sheppard, Sr. Mr. Sheppard was a retired welder and a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church. He was a man with a big heart who loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Bridges (David); son, Randy Sheppard, Sr.; sisters, Sandra Murphy and Lorraine Morgan; grandchildren, Matt Bridges, Sarah Bridges and Randy Sheppard, Jr., and his longtime canine companion Buddy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of his sister, Lorraine Morgan, 103 Roosevelt Dr., Easley, SC.
