Dr. Byron Kenneth "Bud" Webb, 83, husband of the late Sybil Boatwright Webb, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Clemson Downs.
Dr. Webb was born in Cross Anchor, SC and was the son of the late John
Walker and Cora Smith Webb. He was a Professor and Chair of the Agricultural Engineering Department and Dean of the Cooperative Extension Service at Clemson University. He served in the SC House of Representatives from 1996 until 2002 and was a member of Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Ken Webb and his wife, Jeoung Soo Lee of Clemson; a grandson, Byron A. L. Webb; sisters, Mary Hamrick of Spartanburg and Katie Lehman of Pensacola, FL.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Woodland Cemetery on the Clemson University campus.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
