Carol Elaine Henderson Hunter 76, of Clemson passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Born in Anderson, SC the daughter of the late Warren Henderson and Zelma Richey Henderson.
Elaine was wife of 60 years to Edgar Ted Hunter of the home and loving mother of Harold "Mackey" Hunter (Angela) of Abbeville, Pat Hunter of Clemson; son in law, Ronnie Richards of Pendleton; daughter in law, Alice W Hunter of Anderson; brother, Benny Henderson of Seneca. Very special sister, Margaret Gambrell of Pendleton, and sisters; Dorothy Bradley of Anderson, and Mary Lehmann of Seneca, and three grandchildren; Casey Hunter, Alexander Hunter and Brittany Rholinger.
Elaine was co-owner of Mac's Drive In. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Liberty Chapter #80 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed classic cars with her favorite being, her 1954 panel truck that she love and called "Pink Panther". She was an active member of the Anderson Classic Car Club. Elaine will be sorely missed by all.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was predeceased by a son Richard "Richey" Hunter; a daughter, Tracy Richards and two sisters; Barbara Wade and Belva Bennett.
A Graveside service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 11 AM at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central SC. The family will greet friends following the service. Family will be accepting flowers or memorials can be sent to Trinity Wesleyan Church, Central SC.
