Callie Megan Dyar, 19, daughter of Margaret "Meg" Roberts Dyar and the late Timothy Carlton Dyar, died Monday, April 23, 2018 at AnMed Health Center.
She was born in Anderson and raised in Pendleton. She graduated early from Pendleton High School in 2015. While a student there, she was on the cheerleading squad, golf team, HOSA organization and a member of the JR ROTC. She attended Tri-County Technical College and was a student in the dental assisting program of Carolina Career Center. She worked at Dyar's Diner since 2013 along with other part-time jobs. She was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Anderson, SC.
Surviving in addition to her mother are best buddy, brother, Breylen Dyar, maternal grandparents, James "Papa" and Gail "Mama Gail" Roberts and paternal grandparents, Earl "Pop" and Becky "Nana" Dyar all of Pendleton; uncle James Roberts, Jr (Rhonda) of Anderson; Aunt Regina Moore (Terry) of Sandy Springs and Angie Cain (Jimmy) of Sandy Springs.
Callie is also survived by many special cousins, great aunts, great uncles, adored friends and her beloved puppy, Paisley.
Callie's name means beautiful which was absolutely true of her, inside and out. She made a brave, giving decision at age 15 to become an organ donor which has allowed her physical life to give hope to 6 individuals. She is our hero.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Mount Tabor Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Monday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central,SC.
