Calvin M. Chappell

March 7, 1950 — September 12, 2021

Calvin Mitchell Chappell, 71, husband of Jere Trotter Chappell passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born March 7, 1950, in Pickens, the son of Preston and Mary Dean Chappell.

Calvin enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved watching his grandson race cars.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jere of Easley; three daughters, Melissa Mote, Toni Wood (Doug), and Amanda Page (Lee), all of Easley; a sister, Marie Belt (Danny) of Easley; four grandchildren, Mitchell Mote (Jessie), Cory Wood (Reachale), Keeli Wood, and Raegan Page; and two great grandchildren, Makenzye Wood and McCoy Mote.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Buster Ellison, Billy Chappell, and Charles Ray Chappell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Friday, September 17th in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home – Downtown. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00PM Thursday, September 16th.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
