Calvin Woodrow James, 88, of 111 White Oak Circle died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville, Calvin was a son of the late Raymond E. and Ellen Batson James. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are 4 sisters, Helen Maw of Six Mile, Ruth McGuire of Easley, Edna Wilson of Greenville and Dorothy Berlin of Dillard, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will recieve friends from 2 to 2:50 PM, Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
