Mr. Calvin Watson Roach, 89, husband of Mildred Mahaffey Roach, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home.
Born in Oconee County, the son of the late Robert Rutledge and Drucilla Carver Roach, Mr. Roach retired from Alice Manufacturing with forty-five years of service and was a member of Liberty Church of God. He was a US Army Veteran having served in WWII. He loved God, his family, gospel music, and making people laugh.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of sixty-eight years, are a son, Randy Roach (Sherill) of Liberty; a daughter, Dianne DesRocher of Liberty; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Roach was predeceased by nine brothers, John, Jack, Rufus, Ed, Mart, Les, Ernest, Earl and Clarence Roach; and three sisters, Amanda Roach Wilson, Corrie Roach Watkins and Dora Roach Griffith.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2017 at Easley Church of God. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM Friday at the church, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
