Camille Strother Ellison

Camille Strother Ellison, of Greenville, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017, almost nine years after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Camille was born in Augusta, GA. She was the daughter of the late Mark Ollie and Dora Woodward Strother. Camille was the widow of W. Roy Ellison, Jr., who passed away April 16, 2016.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen E. Erwin (Pat); her sons, Chris A. Ellison, and W. Kevin Ellison. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Catherine C. Erwin of Greenville, Mary Dallas E. Erwin of Houston, TX, Ryan E. Crosby (Will); and a great- grandson Liam M. Crosby of Greenville.
Camille graduated from college and became a Registered Nurse. As an RN, she enjoyed being able to help others at the hospital, however, her love was her husband and their children.
Redeemer Episcopal Church became their first church after they were married. They were very active in the church, so much that Camille later became the first woman elected to serve on the Church Vestry.
Camille's ceremony will be at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, 305 West Main Street, Easley, SC 29640 on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation is from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. Her interment will be private.
