Camille Mobley Norris Whitlock, wife of the late Bobby Joe Norris, was born September 25, 1945 and passed May 2, 2025 after a lengthy battle with dementia. Camille was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend whose kindness and grace touched all who knew her.
Born in Greensboro, Georgia, Camille was a daughter of the late Harold Anderson and Patricia Owens Mobley. She spent most of her youth in Easley, South Carolina where she was the oldest of seven children.
Camille was a 1963 graduate of Easley High School and attended Winthrop University. After marrying Bobby, they moved to Spartanburg and became ingrained in the Spartanburg community. She spent many years supporting athletic endeavors at Spartanburg High School and raising her children.
Later, Camille became the office manager at Dr. Richard Jabbour’s dental office. There she met many of her best friends and became the welcoming face as patients came through the doors. She was proud of that job and cherished the lasting relationships she made there.
Camille was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and particularly the Alice Walker Circle where she served in many capacities. She looked forward to their meetings and acts of service.
Camille’s greatest joy came from her family. Camille is survived by her son, Gregory Wilton Norris (Lisa) and her daughter, Patricia Norris Liollio (Evan). She is also survived by four grandchildren, whom she adored Robert Evan Liollio, James Angelo Liollio, Margaret Camille Liollio, and Joseph Rand Norris. Surviving also are her loving brother, Tim Mobley (Theresa) and his family, and Bill Mobley; and a sister, Lynn Gilreath.
In addition to her parents and her loving husband of 33 years, Camille was predeceased by 3 of her siblings and her second husband, Myles Whitlock.
