Carl Edward Hart, 87, of Easley, South Carolina, loving husband of Marion Stovall Hart, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on November 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Ralph E. and Callie Mae Fowler Hart. From an early age, Carl displayed an unwavering commitment to education. He graduated from Parker High School and later pursued further learning at Furman University. Following his education, Carl embarked on a fulfilling career. He initially worked for Union Carbide before his entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own business- Carl Hart Associates. While he achieved great success in his career, it was his role as a family man that brought him the most joy. As a loving husband to his devoted wife and an exceptional father to his children, Carl's love knew no bounds. He created an environment filled with warmth and support that fostered cherished memories which will forever be treasured. Carl's children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Their sporting events, dance recitals, and musical concerts became important fixtures in his life. His beaming smile and enthusiastic presence in the crowd undoubtedly brightened their performances. Beyond his family commitments, Carl found solace in pursuing various hobbies and interests. Working in his yard was among his favorite pastimes, where he tirelessly tended to his beloved roses. The vibrant blooms were a testament to not only his green thumb but also the care he poured into every aspect of life. An active member of Mauldin Methodist Church for four decades, Carl dedicated himself to serving others within the community of faith. He selflessly devoted time to various committees and took on roles as an usher and greeter, welcoming each person with open arms. Additionally, his participation in the Action Sunday School Class enriched the lives of many through shared experiences and spiritual growth. Carl's commitment to service extended beyond the church walls. He proudly served in the US Army Reserve for two years, followed by four exemplary years in the Air Force. These experiences instilled within him a sense of duty and taught him invaluable lessons that he carried with him throughout his life.

In addition to his wife of 66 years, he is survived by a son, Christopher E. Hart (Amy); a daughter, Michele Haviland (Donald); and five grandchildren, Colin Brent Payne (Emily), Caitlin Jade Payne (Micah Reynolds), Ryan Edward Hart (Seraphina Pyles), Charles Grayson Hart, and Emily Christine Hart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Hart; and a sister, Doris Granger.
