Carl A. Labonge Jr., Anderson, SC

Carl A. Labonge Jr., 73, husband of Patricia J. Labonge, died Novemeber 4, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital. He was a native of Bremerton, WA.

He was a retired LTC with the US Army. He was a veteran of Vietnam and he also served in the Philippines and completed his military career in office of Chief of Information at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. After his retirement from the military, he was Communication Director for the United Way and David M. Limited. He also volunteered for the American Red Cross, was a CPR instructor and served on the Hospice and AIM boards. He was a Rotarian, enjoyed playing tennis, golf and sailing. He taught expository writing to 5th graders at St. Joseph School. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

He graduated from the University of Washington where he earned his BS degree in Business Administration and later his MA from University of Oklahoma in Human Relations.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons: Carl A. Labonge III and his wife Kathleen of Greensboro, NC, Michael E. Labonge and his wife Deborah of Orlando, FL; daughter Rosemary LeNoir Labonge of Charleston, SC and grandchildren, Brian, Alexis, Alex and Natalie.

Mass of the Resurrection will be Wednesday, November 8 at 10am at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Anderson, SC with Father James Dubriuillett officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC with full military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 68pm at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, SC.
