Carl Bentley "Ben" Lawrimore

Carl Bentley "Ben" Lawrimore, Jr., 64, husband of Janice A. Lawrimore passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family Thursday July 9, 2020 following a 10-year battle with Alzheimer's. Ben was born at Fort Eustis, Virginia January 9, 1956 a son of Carl B. and Jean Burrell Lawrimore.
Ben grew up in Bishopville, South Carolina, graduating from Robert E. Lee Academy, class of 1974. He went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Ben met and married his lifelong companion while serving his country as a Supply Corps Officer in the United States Navy. They traveled the world loving life, family and each other.
Upon retirement they moved to the upstate where Ben, a lifelong Clemson fan, enjoyed spending time with family, golfing, kayaking and, of course, Clemson football.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Janice, of Central, SC; a brother, Brantley and his wife Patti of Anderson, SC; a sister, Robin Mahony and her husband Bob of Clemson; two nieces, Allison Iori and her husband Tim, Marion Corontzes and her husband Zack; and a nephew, William Lawrimore and his wife Courtney. Ben was predeceased by his parents.
Services will be private for the family.

Those who wish to remember Ben in a special way may make donations in his memory to Pickens County "Feed a Hungry Child" or local animal shelters or Humane Societies.
