Carl McAlister, 70, of 1258 N. Old Pendleton Road died Saturday September 23, 2006 at his home.
Born in Easley, he was a son of the late Jessie E. and Ida Cleveland McAlister. Mr. McAlister attended Pickens County schools before working as a machine operator at Woodside Mills for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Surviving is one brother and his wife, Donnie and Linda McAlister; four sisters, Betty Ellison, Bonnie McCollum, Barbara Schofield, and Patricia Rampey and her husband Steve; and one grandson, Trin McAlister. Mr. McAlister is predeceased by his wife Margaret G. McAlister and daughter, Joyce Ann McAlister.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home ~ Powdersville Road with the Reverend Charlie Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
The family will be at the residence of Mr. McAlister's sister Pat Rampey, 231 South McAlister Road, Easley.
Robinson Funeral Home ~ Powdersville Road is assisting the family with arrangements.
