Carl Earl Stone, 85, of 303 McBee Avenue, husband of Miriam Childress Stone, passed away Saturday July 17, 2010 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Mr. Stone was born in Anderson County, SC, a son of the late Ennis M. and Pauline Borroughs Stone. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of W.W. II and the Korean War. Mr. Stone was a member of the American Legion, Post #52, where he was a Past Commander, and the First Baptist Church - Easley, where he was a Deacon Emeritus, a member of the McCall Sunday School Class and a former Director and Teacher in the Youth Department.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his brother, John Ed Stone, of Easley ; two sisters, Joretta Rampey and Ellen Nalley, both of Easley and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Chapel at First Baptist Church - Easley, with the Reverend Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, prior to the service, in the Narthex at First Baptist Church.

Members of the McCall Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #52 are invited to serve as Escort of Honor for the funeral service at the church.

The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 AM Tuesday.

The family is at the home.
