Carl Weisenberg, one month and one week short of his 103 birthday, passed from this life into the presence of the Lord on November 9, 2014 to join his beloved wife, Annette.
Carl was born in New York City, NY, the son of Samuel and Florence Rosenfeld Weisenberg, and husband of the late Annette Capaccio Weisenberg. He was a 51 year resident of St. Petersburg, Florida until he moved to Seneca in January 2007 to live with his daughter and son-in-law, Tom and Linda Weir.
He served in the US Navy during World War II and was a retired auto-mechanic who owned and operated an auto repair shop for many years in New York and in St. Petersburg.
Surviving are his daughter, Carroll V. Weisenberg of Seneca, SC; son Kenneth C. Weisenberg of St. Petersburg, FL; and daughter Linda J. Weir and husband Tom of Seneca, SC; six grandchildren, Christina Kerrigan, Theresa Smith, Vincent Weisenberg and wife Erica, Laurie Ross, June Weir, and Matthew Weir and wife Margo; Eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
A very special thank you to the nurses at Oconee Memorial Hospital and the loving staff at Cottingham Hospice of the Foothills.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Crosspoint Church, Clemson, SC on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.
The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Tom and Linda Weir.
