Carl Williams, 80, of Earls Bridge Road, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at his home.
Born in Greenville County, a son of the late Thomas C. and Carrie Renner Williams, Mr. Williams retired from the engineering department of Milliken Corp., and was a member of Nine Forks Baptist Church. He was a former volunteer and first Fire Chief of the Dacusville Fire Department and a member of the Dacusville Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Margie McKittrick Williams of the home; two sons, Johnny T. Williams of Greenville and Jim Williams (Debra) of Travelers Rest; a daughter, Barbara Michael (Danny) of Easley; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was predeceased by four sisters, Bessie James, Ethel Kanipe, Lois Hicks and Myrtle Robertson, a brother, T.C. Williams and by a granddaughter, Amanda Williams.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Nine Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
