Mr. Carlos Irvin "Bud" Alexander, 81, husband of Audrey Ethylene Childs Alexander, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, June 5, 2017.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late M.C. Alexander and Jeanette Brown Alexander Kelley, Mr. Alexander retired from Bi-Lo and previously attended Galilee Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of sixty years, are two daughters, Nancy Alexander Lambert of Piedmont, and Darlene Alexander Hester (Eddie) of Easley; three brothers, Edward Alexander of Easley, Calvin Alexander and Michael Alexander (Cheryl), all of Liberty; three sisters, Elizabeth Nix (Harrison) and Gail Bennett (Bobby), all of Easley, and Evelyn Bowie (Tojo) of Pickens; four grandchildren, Melissa Lambert Clark (Randy), Andrea Lambert Davis (Shawn), Kevin Lambert (Hope) and Clint Hester; five great-grandchildren, Matt Clark, Kayla Clark, Tyler Clark, Mason Davis and Elliott Davis; a great-great-grandchild, Carson Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Alexander was predeceased by his step-father, Julius Kelley; a brother, Matthew Alexander; a sister, Mildred Powell; a son-in-law, Wayne Lambert; a brother-in-law, Cleo Powell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 8, 2017 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Clyde Gravley officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery-West.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
