Carlos CogginsCentral, SCCarlos "Bill" Coggins, 83, of 372 Fernway Drive and formerly of Bennettsville, SC, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Manna Health and Rehab in Pickens, SC.Born in Thomasville, NC, he was son of the late Harvey and Mamie Russell Coggins.  Carlos was a graduate of NC State and was a retired mechanical engineer for various textile manufacturing companies.  He was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War.  He attended Alive Wesleyan Church in Central and Bethel United Methodist Church in Bennettsville, SC.Surviving are sons, Barth Coggins of Bennettsville, SC and Bayard Coggins of Eldorado, NC; daughters, Bianca (John) Norton of Blacksburg, VA and Berinthia (James) Allison of Central; sister, Carlene Coggins of Eldorado, NC; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Brooking Coggins; brothers, Frank Coggins and Vance Coggins; his sister, Rena Mae Coggins; and his daughter, Belinthia Coggins.A Memorial Service and inurnment will take place at a later date in Barboursville, VA.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.
