Carnis Bowen Davis, 93, formerly of Easley, died Saturday, August 18, 2007, in Summerton, S.C.
Born in Easley, Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Ethel Baldwin Bowen. She was a 1930 graduate of Easley High School and attended Lander University. Mrs. Davis was publisher emeritus of The Easley Progress and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Harrison F. Davis and his wife, Barbara, of Belton; one daughter, Norma D. Truesdale, and her husband, Alton, of Summerton; one brother, Troy L. Bowen of Westminster; one sister, Agnes B. Kleckley of Charleston; three grandchildren, Daniel Scott Davis, Pamela T. Ey, and Kathryn T. Jekel; and five great-grandchildren, Evan Harrison Davis, Taylor Ey, Jason Ey, Rachel Jekel, and Sarah Jekel. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her husband, Furman Franklin Davis; a brother, Lewis L. Bowen; and a granddaughter, Stacy Marie Davis.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
