Carol S. Hilliker Brown, 76, of 16 Calm Sea Drive, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 14, 2009 at her home.
Born in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Donald B. and Mildred A. Hilliker, she was a homemaker and loving mother.
She was a 1955 graduate of Syracuse University School of Nursing, was a Questor and an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild for many years.
Surviving are her husband, Reeve M. (Pug) Brown Jr, of the home; two sons, Michael E. Brown Sr. and wife, JoAnne of Walhalla, SC and Robert A. Brown and wife, Karen of Wyoming, MI; one daughter, Cynthia A. Thackham and husband, Paul of Walhalla, SC; her step-mother, Vivian G. Hilliker of Amherst, NY; two brothers, Donald B. Hilliker Jr. of Elma, NY and Richard M. Hilliker and wife, Joan of Clarence, NY; three grandchildren, David and Jennifer Thackham and Michael E. Brown Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Jean Grace Sawyer.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Clemson.
The family will receive family and friends immediately following the service in the Parish Hall of the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 193 Old Greenville Highway, Clemson, SC 29631 in memory of Carol S. Brown.
