Carol Harris Smith

Carol Harris Smith, 87, of Simpsonville, wife of the late Welton “Bud” Smith passed away at McCall Hospice House on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Born in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Harris. She was a loyal Fountain Inn Wesleyan Church member and enjoyed watching Carolina Gamecock football. Carol was a bookkeeper for Fluor Daniel until her retirement.

In addition to her late husband and her late parents, she is predeceased by a brother and four sisters, with whom she had a very special bond with her baby sister, Ann Pittman.

Carol is survived by her son, Skip Smith (Jan); daughter, Kay Smith; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and many special friends including, Evelyn Rogers, Kathleen King, and Doris Culbertson.

Skip and Kay are honoring their mom’s wishes by having a private burial in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
