Gloria Carol Stephens, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family, Monday, July 7, 2025.
Born in Liberty, SC, a daughter of the late Herman Elliott Stephens and the late Geneva James Stephens, Carol was a graduate of Liberty High School and later received her Associate degree from Droughon's Business College. She retired from CRS Sirrine, Inc. and later retired as an office manager in the home health care industry.
Carol loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer. She loved to bowl and water ski in her earlier years, but in her later years her love was to spend time with her family and attend as many events as possible, cheering on her great-nieces and nephews, no matter what activity they were involved in. She will be deeply missed by all that loved and knew her.
Surviving are her sister, Doris Stephens Wilson of Easley; her nephew, Jimmy E. Wilson, Jr. (Sarah Long) of Easley; her great-nephews, Jimmy E. "Trey" Wilson, III. (Erin) of Easley, and David Wilson of Easley; her great-niece, Bridgette Casidy Lowdermilk (Caleb) of Easley; and her great-great-nieces and nephews, Kylen Wilson, Levi Wilson, Adaira Lowdermilk, Graham Lowdermilk and Noelyn Lowdermilk. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Jimmy E."Bones" Wilson, Sr.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 11, 2025 at Abbott Cemetery, Liberty, SC.
The family will receive friends at the graveside, immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Carol to Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay Street, Easley, SC 29642.
