Carol E. Varn

Carol Elaine Black Varn, of Flat Rock Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 26, 2018.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late George Edmund Black and Sara Vickery Black Emory.
Carol was a beautician having owned and operated Sugar and Spice and Carols Hair Designs in Easley. She also, with her husband, owned and operated South Star Homes in Easley and Seneca. She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and was very passionate about rescuing any type of animals.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Harry L. Varn; the loves of her heart, Anthony and Latisha Eaton and their children, Ashton, Taygen, Little Anthony, Cayden, Dakota and Chaynce of Pickens; her step-children, Christopher Varn (Julie) of Easley and Robin Johnson (Larry) of Williamston; brothers, Harold Black (Joan) of Simpsonville and Stanley Black (Vivian) of Mauldin; a niece, Kimberly Jussely of Memphis, TN; a nephew, Greg Black of Bremerton, WA; and special friends, Thomas Burdette and Barbara Wilson, both of Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Johnny Black and Richard Black.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be the Upstate Marine Corps League of Anderson #1106 and the Teufelshunde Motorcycle Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pickens County Humane Society, P.O. Box 83, Liberty, SC 29657. This is a NO KILL SHELTER!
The family will be at their respective homes.
