Carol Jean Wynn, 63, of 100 East Church Road, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Paso Roblos, CA, a daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy Weiler Wynn, Miss Wynn graduated from Appalachian State University in 1967 and received two Masters Degrees in Guidance Counseling and History from Clemson University. She retired from teaching full-time at Gettys Middle School after thirty-eight years of service and currently taught part-time at West End Elementary School. Miss Wynn was a member of First Baptist Church, Easley, where she belonged to the sanctuary choir.

Surviving are a daughter, Bobbi Wynn of Easley; a brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Daryl W. and Betty Wynn of Charlotte, NC; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy W. and Gary Ellis of Swannanoa, NC; three nieces, Summer and Laura Ellis, and Dawn Wynn; and a nephew, Brian Wynn. In addition to her parents, Miss Wynn was predeceased by a brother, Robert M. Wynn.

Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Easley, with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating with Rev. Daryl Wynn assisting.

Past and present teachers are asked to serve as honorary escorts at her service.

Visitation will be will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615 or to the ASPCA, 424 East 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128.

The family is at residence.
