Caroll Evan Pell, 84, of 31 Pelham Drive, Cashiers, NC, died July 27, 2010, at Country Side Village, Easley, SC.
Mr. Pell was born in Cashiers, NC, a son of the late H.A. Pell, Sr. and Adelaide Bradburn Pell. He was a retired electrical contractor having engaged in residential construction in the Cashiers area for over forty years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy aboard the battleship USS North Carolina.
Mr. Pell was a member of Cashiers United Methodist Church where he had served as chairperson of trustees, on the Administrative Council, and as an usher. He was later elected trustee emeritus.
Surviving are his wife, Electra Alexander Pell, of the home and several extended family members. The family would like to thank his special caregiver, Mrs. Mary Perry.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Cashiers United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Randolph Harry. Interment will follow in the Upper Zachary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cashiers United Methodist Church, PO Box 162, Cashiers, NC 28717.
