Carolyn Jean Canaday Byrd, 81, formerly of Camden passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
Mrs. Byrd was born in Camden, the daughter of the late Richard DeKalb and Willene Elizabeth Hall Canaday, and wife of the late William Zebulon Byrd. She was a member of True Light Church of Christ in Lucknow, SC
.
Surviving are a son, Richard R. Byrd (Katherine) of Central and a daughter, Ellen Polson of Kershaw, SC; grandchildren, Maranda Watson (W.K.), William Collier-Byrd (Sara), Benjamin Byrd (Tia), Abigail Byrd; great-grandchildren, Trey Watson, Brice Watson and Mac Byrd.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother, Richard DeKalb Canaday, Jr.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 16, 2013, at 3:00 P. M. at True Light Church of Christ in Lucknow, SC. The family will receive friends at Kornegay Funeral Home in Camden, from 1:00 P. M. until 2:00 P. M. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers please make memorials to SC Oncology at Kershaw Health, 1315 Roberts St., Camden, SC 29020 or Walter Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020.
