Carolyn Sue Chumbley Chandler, 74, wife of Terry Chandler, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at her home.

Born in Kansas City, MO, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Jean Smith Chumbley.

Carolyn was a member of the Russell Community Church, she loved buying and selling antiques, traveling to the beach, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. 

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Terry; sons, Shane Donovan Vanhook (Brandy) of Easley, Michael Merrell (Lacy Smith); daughter Tracie Holder (Leslie) of Travelers Rest; grandchildren, Sonya Lynn Levasseur Maddox and Ryder Merrell; great-grandchildren Skylar and Keagen Vanhook, Kinliegh Davis, and Ivy Smith; and her brother Jerry Chumbley of Greer.

In addition to her loving parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister Lois Jean Appling. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2023, from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Flowers will be accepted.
